South Shore Grace & Truth Assembly
 Description of Meetings
Breaking of Bread:
On this occasion, we gather with the specific purpose of remembering the Lord Jesus. In the gospels, scripture records that on the very night in which He was betrayed by Judas, the Lord Jesus instituted this memorial. As thus gathered, the assembly seeks to be in obedience to His dying request.

Luke 22:19 - 20 [JND]
And having taken a loaf, when He had given thanks, He broke [it], and gave [it] to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. In like manner also the cup, after having supped, saying, This cup [is] the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Ministry / Gospel Meeting:
The Ministry Meeting is an occasion where one, two or three brothers will minister or preach from God's Word. On this occasion there is the opportunity to learn, be comforted, built up, strengthened that we may grow in the love and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Gospel Meeting presents the glad tidings of God's grace which offers salvation through the sacrificial work of the Lord Jesus.

Prayer & Bible Study Meeting:
Prayer is very important. The Bible teaches, "In everything by prayer and supplications with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." Philippians 4:6. As an assembly we display our dependence on the Lord for guidance, direction and we trust Him to meet all our needs.

Bible study is also very important. The Lord Jesus said, "Search the Scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life and they are they which testify of me." John 5:39. We take one book at a time from the Bible and study it chapter by chapter in an open discussion.
